I am currently Weekend Morning Anchor and Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) at WLTX News 19, the CBS affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina.

 

My role entails extensive research to uncover engaging stories, establishing connections with intriguing characters/community members in the Midlands region, and skillfully narrating and writing their stories for our television broadcasts. I actively engage with our audience on various social media platforms, delivering real-time updates to keep the community well-informed.

 

In addition to crafting compelling stories for our newscasts, I curate condensed versions tailored to specific audiences on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. This multifaceted approach ensures that our content resonates with a diverse range of viewers and followers.

KFSM 5NEWS - WEEKEND EVENING ANCHOR/MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST

2021-2022

  • Engaged with audiences in Northwest Arkansas to tell compelling stories during severe weather events, breaking news and covering significant and impactful court cases, like the Joshua Duggar trial informing the public in the market and beyond.
  • Worked as a multimedia journalist writing, researching, editing and shooting stories to create final products to air and inform the public.

 

KOMU 8 MID-MISSOURI NEWS - ANCHOR/MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST

2020-2021

  • Recorded the first draft of mid-Missouri history between the years 2020 and 2021 by reporting compelling stories of the people in the community.
  • Worked as a multimedia journalist writing, researching, editing and videoing these stories to create final products to air and inform the public, while attending classes at MU

ABC 7 NEWS CHICAGO WLS-TV - INVESTIGATIVE NEWS INTERN

  • Wrote, scripted, and conducted research for potential news stories affecting consumers in the Chicagoland area

  • Corresponded between potential central compelling characters and the main reporter in order to bridge stories together

  • Pitched fully detailed stories based on correspondence with potential characters who have stories that could affect other consumers
